1. Curtains for new apartment

   July 2026

   Finally using this fabric I got with V for a great purpose: basement window curtains! Now the lovely backyard dog, Raven, can't stare down at Gus and I, and it feels a little more private.

   I've included this goofy little tie at the end made out of the seam -- I have a feeling there's 5 other ways to do this better, but it was fun for me.

2. Buttoned shirt

   May 2026

   I took a lot of in-progress photos... until the last few steps, when I got too excited to remember. Here's a small gallery of some. You can click on the images for a higher resolution. (WILL ADD MORE IN FUTURE EDIT)

   

   Laying out the pattern: there wasn't oodles of extra fabric, and I had modified the pattern, so I had to be a little economical.

   

   Cutting out the pattern! This part was easy peasy, but it had the potential to mess up everything else, so I was still a little stressed.

3. Placeholder project

   January 2026

   This was a bench cushion I always wanted to make for a particular wooden bench! I had the fabric and materials for multhiple months before really tackling it, because it was my first large project completely independant. While there are no in-progress photos, I took these commemmorative photos as a way to remember, because it's a gift and it'll be going to my friend's house. Now if only I had taken any photos of the hat I made...

The back zipper was where I went a little off the rails...luckily it is mostly hidden, but it turns out that adding a lapped zipper with centered piping means you have to think about it beforehand, instead of just diving in! There are some raw edges in there for sure.
